Who We Are
SOM, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is a trusted provider of contracted security operations, dedicated to safeguarding people, assets, and institutions worldwide. Founded and led by Bobby Robles, a former U.S. Army Special Forces Green Beret and Ranger, SOM brings combat-tested expertise, executive leadership, and uncompromising integrity to every mission.

Bobby Robles, Founder
Bobby Robles is a decorated U.S. Army Green Beret and Ranger, dynamic executive leader, and CEO of Servants of Malta (SOM) specializing in elite protective security, civil-affairs integration, and international compliance.

With more than 22 years of military service, Bobby led and advised on high-risk missions across multiple continents as part of the 75th Ranger Regiment and Army Special Forces. His operational expertise spans counterterrorism, protective security details, unconventional warfare, special reconnaissance, and civil-military stabilization programs. He coordinated humanitarian aid, and worked to strengthen regional security in some of the world’s most complex environments. Bobby holds an MBA, an MA in Higher Education, and a BS in Information Systems.

In civilian leadership, Bobby has guided enterprises and nonprofit initiatives, serving as CEO of Servants of Malta LLC (SOM), NatureCraft Houses, and the Tiny Homes Foundation. In these roles, he cultivated cross-sector partnerships and built organizations that balance mission effectiveness with community impact. At SOM, his leadership emphasizes compliance-driven operations within international standards such as ISO 18788, the Montreux Document, and the Voluntary Principles on Security & Human Rights.

Bobby is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, holds CLEET law enforcement certifications, and has completed advanced military qualifications in Special Forces Sniper, Combat Diver, and Dive Supervisor training.

Servants of Malta (SOM) takes inspiration from the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, a historic Catholic order known for its chivalric and humanitarian mission of protecting the vulnerable. This influence first emerged on the campus of St. Gregory’s Abbey in Shawnee, Oklahoma—SOM’s earliest client—where the monastic imagery reflected values of service, discipline, and guardianship. SOM carries these principles forward, blending faith-inspired tradition with modern private security and community protection.
